Today is a good day. My manager just called to tell me that I have a second audition with Vickie Thomas Casting for a different "Everybody Hates Chris" role. She must've liked me earlier. The audition was so quick that I walked out like "what happened??" It felt like it went well, but it took me 45 minutes to drive there (listening to the song "This is Why I'm Hot" all the way there) and less than 60 seconds to audition.
I feel like I finally have a strong theatrical team and we are all working together. Don't know if I blogged about this yet...I didn't want to say anything until I had notified my former theatrical agent, but I am with a new agency. Castle Hill Enterprises. A friend of mine referred me and when I asked about the agency I was told that the woman who runs it is near retirement and they don't go into the office much, but when I met with them, I got a good feeling about them. Plus it couldn't have been worse than my former agency. Nice people, but I need to get out, work, and make some money. Plus my manager is a real firecracker. I took to her instantly. And I drag my sleepy butt out of bed every morning to look at the breakdowns and submit myself for stuff either electronically or by doing drops. Plus my commercial team has been ON POINT since day one.
I dropped to "Everybody Hates Chris" last week, and started to do another drop today, but I got the call about the audition right before I did.
I feel good.
Gonna go learn my lines now.
