Putting my business in the streets...

Those of you who have been reading my blog for a while, or know me personally know that I will share as much as I am comfortable with here, but I am mindful of the fact that the internet is a worldwide forum and anyone can access any information at any time, so I'm still careful about what I say. Weeeelll, I have just done some updates to my website, and have added a link to my blog(s), so I'm feeling a little...nervous. Not that I have a zillion people visiting my website daily or anything, but because it is my business website, and I am definitely in business, at least a few more people are going to be reading. If I were just stating facts about my auditions and bookings, I wouldn't bat an eyelash, but I do express opinions, and sometimes make comments that aren't necessarily popular, PLUS now that I also write about stuff other than acting...well, I just don't know. I'm candid about what I'm candid about, and the rest is private.

May end up removing the link. I'm not real sure right now. Still thinking through it.

With regard to my audition on Friday, I walked in and saw a whole slew of African people dressed in traditional African clothing. I stood at the door for a while, then located the casting director and asked her if I was supposed to be dressed in African garb, because "I'm not African." (As if she couldn't have figured that out.) She told me that they were also casting an African-American couple and I was just fine. I was paired up with a husband,, we went in and did our thing. I FULLY expect to be called back on Tuesday.

I'll let y'all know.

Happy Easter!
