I HAVE To Share.

I have some stuff to share with you all. First of all, I booked "Wizards of Waverly Place!" I auditioned for this so long ago that I didn't even know I was still being considered, so I was T-TOTALLY shocked when my manager called and gave me the news. I'll be shooting in front a live studio audience for the first time, so I'm excited about that.

I'm also plugging right along on my web series. I won't bore you with the details, but I'm in the process of becoming a SAG signatory (it will be a SAG New Media project), have a co-producer and a consulting producer, a director, almost a whole cast, and lots of friends who happen to have connections for EQUIPMENT! I was just asking some buddies for advice and they started offering me stuff. I am so touched. And happy b/c I need to save money any way I can save and not have it make the production look chintzy.

Lastly, I want to leave you inspired. The following video is 10 minutes long, and worth watching every second. I had no idea that Will Smith was so insightful. I have watched this several times already today - he says a lot of things that I've expressed to people who told me that I sounded crazy and that I was unrealistic. Told me to "look at the statistics." I take this as reinforcement and encouragement. Hopefully you will take something valuable from it as well.

Nicole, I absolutely LOVED that video! I've always admired Will Smith for his ability to do anything he wanted to do in terms of his career and excel at it! I mean the man was/is successful in music, television, films, and producing....I liked what he said about not needing a Plan B if you have a Plan A. Thanks so much for that-it's just the inspiration I needed.

  5. Haven't watched the video yet, but wanted to comment on how kick-ass this post is! Did you notice that you said you decided to "start your business", as opposed to "acting" - and that's where the shift is. You went from doing it because you love it - & you were afraid it was going to be taken away from you if you didn't do it for free - to thinking of it as your business. And now look at you - a poster girl for working actors everywhere!
