I am honored...

to be speaking at a two-night charity event this week, benefiting the Southern Poverty Law Center - an organization that uses education and litigation to fight bigotry and hate.

The event sold out so quickly that I didn't even have time to promote it!  Initially it was only to be one night, but a second night was added and that sold out in a flash as well.

Each speaker will be presenting a historical speech - I chose Barbara Jordan's speech from the 1976 DNC.  I hope to do it justice - to walk in her shoes, even briefly, is a tall order.
