This will be short and sweet b/c I’m organizing my pix & labels for drops and I’m a little confused, so I need to get back to it. I have 2 auditions tomorrow—one for a SAG spec commercial, and one for an independent film. I also have an audition on Wed. AM for an indie film. Coast to Coast called me and said they didn’t submit me for this (they don’t submit me for specs) CD Alyson Horne asked for me (she calls me in pretty frequently), but since it’s a SAG spec, if I book it, I become a SAG “must join”. I was trying to stay SAG eligible for as long as possible, so my agent’s assistant, Lisa asked me if I even wanted to go. I was a bit stressed for an hour or so, asked for advice from some of the people at Actorsite, kicked it around a bit on my own, and asked myself WHAT AM I TRIPPIN’ ABOUT?? If I book it and have to join the union, heck, that’s a good problem to have. I’ll go in there, do my thang, and sort the rest out later. Talk about over-analyzing!!
Okay, back to the sorting. I’m excited about actually doing the drops b/c it’s just one more way for me to have control in a business where sometimes it feels like the actors hardly have any control. Once I figure out how this goes, it will be fine. I’ll keep ya posted. ;o)
OH YEAH!! I almost forgot—I got a call from a friend of mine who lives in Jersey...my MILK commercial is running again!! Yippee!! Perhaps that means I’ll have the money to shoot one of the projects that I’ve written. It’s TIME!!!
