I didn't get the series regular job on the new NBC sitcom that I talked about in my last post. The gig went to a Tony-nominated Broadway actress.
Am I disappointed? Yep. But I can't even be mad. I haven't even had a lot of time to be disappointed, because I found out on Wednesday evening, had 3 auditions on Thursday, 2 on Friday, class today, and I have 1 and a possible audition on Monday. Every now and then I kick at the floor and go "Aw MAN, I could have..." but then it's back to work - Momma's got memorizing to do! Moping? It's PILOT season - ain't nobody got time for that.
And this is shaping up to be my best pilot season so far. I'm having fewer auditions, to be sure, but the auditions that I am getting are for larger roles: guest stars and series regulars. Hallelujah. Took me a long time to get here.
I feel like I've been battle-tested and I'm still standing.

Okay, Butler, stop posing - back to work.
(Ciao, y'all!)
